Pretty much every conservative does not think this way at all. We're upset that the left puts people in places of power *because* of their race and gender, because that is racist. It's the complete opposite of what the left projects onto us. It's the fact that the left seems to care about race etc so much to the degree that they will put less qualified people in power for the sake of being "diverse". This happens in companies all the time, where people of color get hired and then due to DEI practices, they worry "I hope I didn't get hired based on my skin color only". DEI cures the symptoms, but not the underlying illness.

When people say "gender is a social construct", they're really just confusing "gender" itself with gender roles and norms. But even ignoring that, the definition is unworkable with the rest of transgenderism. After all, if someone has the socially constructed traits expected of men by their society but identifies as a woman, what is their gender then? And while we can't know with certainty what someone's real sex is just by looking at them (especially nowadays), that doesn't imply we're in the wrong. I probably couldn't tell the difference between a counterfeit law degree and a real one either; doesn't make the fake lawyer a real lawyer.
